Veins of Ice. Steely Gaze

One of the greatest travesties imparted upon males of Western nations has been the conspiracy of emotional showcase. We are told that we should not let things bottle up. Head shrinkers tout study after falsified study exposing the benefits of becoming a waterfall of tears and empathy seeking eyes.

The showcase of emotions is a female sport. Girls revel in hearing, experiencing, and sharing the opium known as mental instability. This is why I love females. Emotions make them soft and supple. Girls who become emotionless (girls in high power careers such as politics and law) tend to become more masculine.

The same can be said about men today. The more emotion they share the softer they become.
Soft hands are for those that are taken care of. Calloused hands are those that live by their own volition.

I remember as a youngster allowing myself to be overcome by my emotions. Mistakes were made. Opportunities missed. If I could H.G. Wells myself I would punch myself in the throat and give myself a history lesson on the Great Depression. When men were men.

As I am sure many of you college-educated pseudo-scholars will inadvertently misread my message so I will offer you the Cliffs Notes: Do not attempt to rid yourself of emotions, merely learn to suppress them.

Save emotions for the bedroom or your place of solitude. Only then become impassioned. Allow your passion to become an aura that encompasses your lover and inspires her to never bring her best impression of a dead fish into your bedroom.

Stoicism is the only practical philosophy to study in school. Everything else is glorified educational drivel. The stoics are perhapse the most misunderstood heroes. They never did advocate an absence of emotion. No. They believe, as do I, that emotions are the spiritual adrenal glands. The stoics advocated for the suppression of emotions in order to maintain clarity of vision.

Instead our society has recently told us to allow emotions to guide us. There is a generation of children taught that Harry Potter defeated one of the greatest wizards to ever breath due to “love.” Blasé. Hey Harry, didn’t you kill your Godfather because you allowed emotions to overcome clarity. Word.

There are many out there that believe I lack an ability for compassion, empathy, perhapse even love. Nay. I simply do not show these emotions to the world before me. I view emotions as the beauty bestowed upon us as humans. However, the world was created for beasts and we must act accordingly.

A friend of mine was recently crushed by a female. He gave her all of his emotional currency. One may say he came to love this girl. His “love” of her blinded him to her manipulations and obvious cheating nature. I myself saw the signs early on. My warnings fell upon dumb ears. Daily tragedy.

As a demi-god once said ,“trust but verify.” Emotional superiority does not allow for this to become true.

Dear male readers. Society has lied to you. Girls do not want you to share your emotions. They want Gary Coopers. Emotions are a personal experience. Keep them so.

To all those female readers that will shriek with indignation. I ask you to pause and look internally and truly ask yourself:

Do you want a man who is in touch with is emotions or a man who is empathetic to your own.

Look at your history.

How many times have you been disgusted by a man showing his emotions to the world.

Do not lie and tell me you have never looked at scorn towards a man who was on his knees grasping at the retreating legs of a former lover.

Do not lie and pretend that the words “I love you” have not sent shockwaves of fear through your being if voiced before you yourself share those fateful three syllables.

Do not lie and tell me you never think less of your man when he shares his insecurities with you.

A generation ago men used to crack chestnuts with their hands. Now men moisturize.

Dearest male readers you must learn to not allow your emotions to rule over you. Do not waft them on JuboTrons. Showcase them in your mancave.

No one has ever looked impressive when experiencing road rage. Blowing up at your girlfriend at a club will not get you laid. In fact it may send her into the arms of another suitor. Never share your fear, insecurity, or nervousness. Keep it locked in an impenetrable vault at the recess of your being.

Nothing brings adversary to its knees more efficiently than veins of ice and a steely gaze.

When your girlfriend pulls some maneuver on you that you are not pleased with, do not react at all. Do not channel a hormone injected meathead and blow up. Do not raise your voice. Do not allow blood to rush to your face. Look at her deeply and emotionlessly explain your displeasure.

She wanted an emotional response to feed off of. If perhaps she wanted to cheat on you she wanted a “rationalization.” See how quickly she will be willing to garner your favor once again after you suppress your emotions.

Your boss belittles you. Prescribe him veins of ice and a steely gaze. You do not get angry, you are indifferent. You understand you win some you lose some. Perhapse you’ve made a great error or perhaps your boss wishes to elevate his own self-esteem at your expense.

No reaction. You take the facts as they come. You learn and implement.

Life doesn’t give a hoot about you. You are inconsequential. No need raising your blood pressure over it.

This journey is difficult indeed. I continually struggle with not allowing my emotions bubble over and ruin moments. Remember in seasons of tumult and discord we turn to those that do not allow their feelings cloud their judgment.

Clarity is a commodity.
